At La Frontera Publishing, our goal is to publish books for people who have passion about the West. The American West.
La Frontera Publishing believes:
-
There are more histories to discover
-
There are more tales to tell
-
There are more stories to write
The Lifestyles — Professions and trades that were the heartbeat of the West. Cowboys, gamblers, wives, sheriffs, thieves and buffalo hunters. Mountain men, vaqueros, pioneers, cavalry soldiers, ladies of the evening and rangers. Mule skinners, sod busters, teamsters and stage drivers.
The Places — The cities and crossroads that were the theater stages for Western drama. Gold towns, boom towns and ghost towns. Names such as Dodge City, Virginia City, Tombstone and Deadwood.
The Native Americans — Those who were here first and suffered the most. Tribes such as Apache, Arapaho, Blackfoot, Cheyenne, Kiowa, Navajo, Zuni and so many more.
The Legends — The men and women whose stories became bigger than life. From Buffalo Bill to Wild Bill, and brothers Wyatt, Morgan and Virgil. Charlie Parkhurst, Anne Oakley, Big Nose Kate, Belle Starr and Cynthia Ann Parker.
The Trails — The dirt and rock pathways of hope but sometimes also of dispair. California, Chisholm, Escalante, Mormon, Oregon and Santa Fe.
Nothing left to write about? Sure there is!
The West is a state of mind. Not just a place — or a time.
Look to La Frontera Publishing for great Western adventure — fiction and nonfiction.
